A simple touch is enough to allow the Reiki flow. It can flow through any part of your body, for example you can hold a baby against your tummy or chest and initiate the transmission of Reiki thus energizing the child and giving him a soothing and calming sensation of comfort.

Pregnant women can be treated with Reiki and the unborn child will largely benefit simultaneously from it.

Children can very easily be attuned to Reiki at the age of 8 and be taught the basic hands positions for self healing and giving energy to others, their pets, plants and their toys even!

It is very exciting for them to feel the warm, tingling flow of energy going through their hands! Reiki allows them to feel the life force energy flowing through them.

The practice of Reiki empowers children in caring for themselves and others. They learn self-care and self-reliance because they can use the energy to help themselves wherever they are at anytime. They also learn to be compassionate because they are able to give healing energy to family, friends and their pets as they instinctively lay their hands on those they want to help.

They can use Reiki to calm themselves and ease anxieties, during dentist or doctor visits and in school during testing or other situations.
